A LITTLE ABOUT CHETNA SINGH

Have you always had a dream and waited for it to turn real?  Me too! Painting has been a passion and an outlet for me and I always dreamt of working with it, but in a unconventional way. One day while I was working on a canvas, I looked at the colors and the texture and I thought, “Wouldn’t it be really fantastic to wear this?”. That’s where the idea of “Art Scarves” was born.

An Emergency Medicine physician and a mom of three, I love my busy life and am so happy to share my passion for art with you. Starting in March 2013, it’s been a fun journey with a lot of hard work involved. I have shown my work in Fashion Week in NYC and the scarves can be found in boutiques and online.

WHAT ARE “CHETNA SINGH SCARVES”?

They are my original artwork, digitally printed on pure silk. The translation from art to scarf works beautifully on silk, while affording a luxurious feel and keeping you cool in the summer and warm in winter. A piece of art that is unique.  It’s yours to wear or frame and decorate if you prefer!

WHO IS “SHE”, THE WOMAN WEARING THE ART SCARVES?

She is a confident and worldly. She travels, enjoys Friday evenings spent in the art galleries downtown, and can be found seeking out the next great bottle of Pinot Noir. She is stylish but not trendy, she’s busy but happy. She tries new things but never forgets her favorites. She loves an adventure, whether that’s found exploring Venice in a gondola or getting lost in a piece of fiction in her favorite chair.

I work mostly in oils but love mixed media too. My artwork is influenced by my Indian heritage, as well as my love for mythology, travel, people, and horses.
