Certitude- Square Silk Scarf
A Dragonfly Poem
Today I saw the dragonfly
Come from the wells where he did lie.
An inner impulse rent the veil
Of his old husk: from head to tail
Came out clear plates of sapphire mail.
He dried his wings: like gauze they grew;
Thro’ crofts and pastures wet with dew
A living flash of light he flew.

The series is inspired by Dragonflies, an enigmatic and incredible creature.
The gossamer wings bely its incredulous strength, speed and agility. They have inspired art and poetry, and the vivid colors hold symbolic meanings across continents. A symbol of transformation, joy and self realization.
To me, they are beautiful creatures who spread beauty and sparkle in their brief journey through this world.
